I got the baby medium bag as a work bag. I am an architect and I work on the go a lot. I go to clients and go on job sites with contractors. I like my work bags to be able to stand up while I am visiting, so I can take things out from it and put back. Most bags out there don't stand up on their own. Only Caraa bags can! I have a cumulus too and it's like a shelf on the go (but can't carry it on my back!).
This bag is perfect for when I do not have to much to carry: my tablet, a notepad, a pencil case, my tape measurers. I can put 8.5x11 documents there but just barely.
I was debating swapping this for the baby large but realize I may need a small bag and a big one, as very often I do not need a lot in my visits and I can use this as an everyday bag too.
The cons of this bag are the following:
- the main compartment is not easy to open on the go. But the side pickets are perfect for that. So when using it on the go in the cold winter of Chicago, I can't casually put my gloves in the front pocket, I have to open the main compartment and it is not easy.
- the straps are a bit too far apart and too long: I am on the shorter side and a small frame. The straps are a bit far apart, which I think allows to wear it in a casual way. But I like my bags to feel secure on my shoulders and I sometimes worry one strap will fall off. Also The straps are set at the tightest position and I have to have them be taken in, as well as the long strap for crossbody wearing. I am 4'11" for…
